Isn't this way better?

We're happy to finally announce, the new boards are up. This is a step out of quite a few we're going to perform in We Create Stuff. The new boards integrates with the rest of We Create Stuff. Not fully yet, but soon, it will also connect to our blog, and in the future, with our games and apps launched on here.

I hate being all this formal, but this truly is a major step for this place. Aside from being pettier and easier to use, it's the first hint to our new agenda for creative projects. We will post more about this in the coming months.



A few notes about the new forums:

• If you're having problems logging in (and this shouldn't happen), you can reset your password or contact me. (it appears users with !@#%&^* and such in their name have some issues)
• If you notice any posts that have not converted well, e.g. text block'd up (no line breaks), bbcode not working, broken links, images not displaying - If they're yours, fix them. If they're not, msg me and I'll fix'em. The converter isn't perfect, but it did a fine job keeping it real on most posts and we decided to go up with that.
• Old links for Users, Threads and Forums should work. For instance, this link appears in Portal TFV's page: http://forums.wecrea...wtopic.php?t=71 . Works like a charm!
• If you notice anything else that is strange, tell me.

Notes for the usage of the new boards:

• Reputation system: Every user can now rate a different user's post, and it will be added or subtracted to the overall reputation of the user. It is experimental. I have the ability to shut it down, or have it work just negatively or just positively. I'm keeping it both ways for now, hopefully it will help you guys post with some thought.
• Profiles: Finally, profiles have a meaning. Your reputation is posted on your profile. So is your latests posts, topics and even Status. Yes, you can set your status now. Keep in mind profile pictures =/= avatars so you can upload something else to your profile, with a bigger size limit.
• File attachments: We enabled attaching files. I just find it much safer if you have images uploaded to our servers than linking to external ones. Size limit is 2mb.
• Rich Text Editor - It should be enabled, but if it isn't for you guys, go to your My Settings, and under Posting Settings, enable "Enable visual (RTE) editor?"
• You're all 39 years old. Go change your birth-date through My Settings.

Anyway, awsomeness has finally landed! After all the weeks months of anticipation, it's finally here!!

Why's that picture you put there so tiny? Can't even make out what you wrote there in red.

RTE looks the same, but for instance, marking something in bold shows it up instantly in the editor instead of using [ b]s.
The attachment - Click it. I was trying to attach it to the post nicely but I failed. Still need to learn how to use this myself

Okay... now build a second new forum! Not to expensive though, a little higher up too so it creates a nice two layer effect.

And then destroy the greatest trollcave (4chan) with a lolcat picture made from the porno from meet the spy!

Got it, now it should be default. Not sure if it overrides your settings, might only be for new members. Anyways I always thought this is way better, so my suggestion is setting it so.

Rawr, ok, when I first logged in here there was that massive list of posts above the forums. I figured this was just "new posts" and because these forums only just went up, it's counting all threads as unread.

So I opened every topic, and they one by one disappeared off the list. Then I saw the option to "mark forum as read" so after reading all the genuinely new posts, I did that in all forums. I went back to the main forum page, and then that massive list is back.

Any ideas?

This shouldn't be happening. I might have an idea why it's happening though. But I'm not seeing this, even after trying to recreate it following your steps. What browser are you on?

FF3.0.12 but it's fixed, for now at least.

Actually, I shouted to my sister "Hey can you draw me a fish on a unicycle?" and she wipped it up in like 5 minutes in Photoshop. I'm quite proud.

Ido, 2 things about the forums:

• Either Verde's stupid, or when you quote smilies it looks something like:

• Gimme quote inside quote!! I NEED quote-in-quote!!

Edit: and another thing: lists don't show numbers. It's [list=1] and it doesn't show the numbers.
