I'm not too experienced with it, but I think most of the well-ported Flash animations are actually recorded. I mean they play them and actually record the screen with proper software and a strong computer so it won't miss any frames.
Maybe I'm out dated but last time I checked Flash exporting tools were pretty poor.

That's an awesome idea, but, I don't know any good screen recording software. So you need to convert an .SWF animation -> to a known media format such as .avi?

HyperCam and all of it's friends are completely dumb and gay, and fraps only records games.
Suggestions?

On the freeware zone there's Camstudio, it's full of bugs but did the trick after you figure what buttons you aren't supposed to press and play with the settings long enough.
I never got perfect results which is the reason Echoes never had any official trailer. I was a pussy about showing off Echoes with unstable framerate. I think this time we'll release some of them unstable show off trailers for Act 2 tho.
Btw I think there's a setting in Fraps that makes it record whole windows (not just maximized games). But you'll then have to cut the window frame and make it into the proper sizes in a new movie, which requires some editing skills with proper software.
Oh and if you're using Vista or Win7, chances are (depends on your hardware) you cannot record audio - I mean, put your 'speakers' as the 'recorded device'. Blame Microsoft and stuff.
I got a dual penis 3.5mm cable and connected the microphone input with the audio output behind the computer, that did the trick and I checked 'record microphone'.But since it's a movie you can just output the audio only from Flash, and put it on the recorded video later in Movie Maker.
Sorry for any typos i nthis post

Fraps has a "record win7 sound", trolol.Best results I got were with something called Camtasia studio. It costs monies I think.

But I can't find a fully screen record option.
I remember using Camtasia, but I also remember everything was pixelled and laggy.
I'll check out their help section anyway, thanks!
Any other suggestions?
